How has the QRC space impacted you?

A great place to study, share lunch with community and de-stress/relax on campus. People there were able to show me how to register for classes, look up scholarships, etc. The QRC provided a heated space to study and hot tea to warm up when the building that my classes were held in last fall/winter was freezing cold as it had non-operational heat at the time. I’m not sure I would have continued on with the school last semester had the QRC not been available.

What about the QRC do you think would be lost in the move to a smaller space?

Fresh air. The windows in the current QRC building (Cloud Hall) were designed with human health in mind. They can be opened for fresh air / air quality but the new building looks like it has completely sealed windows that were designed before we all went through the Covid-19 pandemic together. It feels like the number of students coming in to the QRC has increased since January 2025 so I think we should keep the bigger space (with windows that can open) as well as have the new smaller space if there is some benefit to also having that one for the full-time coordinator (like a more private office space where they can concentrate better on work related meetings or calls?) Thank you.
